J.D. Gregson is a 6’3” 205 Catcher for the 5A Frisco Wakeland Wolverines. He has committed to Baylor University.

High School Baseball

In his junior season, Gregson hit .356 with 7 2Bs, 5 HRs, 29 RBIs, a .417 OBP and a .587 SLG Pct. He was named the 9-5A Defensive Player of the Year. He was selected to the SportsDayHS All-Area Team as a 3rd Team Utility Player and to the STAR Local Media All-Area Baseball Team as a 1st Team Catcher. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 5A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Catcher.

As a sophomore, Gregson hit .330 with 12 2Bs, 2 HRs, 23 RBIs, a .446 OBP and a .495 SLG Pct. He was named the 13-5A Most Valuable Player.

In his freshman year, Gregson played for the TAPPS Division 3 Dallas Shelton. He was named to the 1st Team of the D3 District 3 All-District Team.
