Chase Hampton is a 6’2” 205 RHP/1B for the 4A Kilgore Bulldogs. He has committed to Texas Tech University.

High School Baseball

In his junior season, Hampton was 12-3, with a 1.55 ERA and 159 Ks in 85.1 innings. At the plate, he hit .276 with 6 2Bs 2 HRs and 32 RBIs. Hampton was 1st in strikeouts among all 4A pitchers and was tied for 2nd in the whole state of Texas. He was tied for 3rd in wins among 4A pitchers. Hampton was named the 16-4A Most Valuable Player. He was selected to the All-East Texas Baseball Team as a 1st Team Pitcher. He was selected to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches’ Association 4A All-State Team as a 1st Team Pitcher and to the Texas Sports Writers Association 4A All-State Team as a 1st Team Pitcher.

As a sophomore, Hampton was 8-1 with one save and 2.63 ERA. He struck out 81 batters in 66.1 innings. Hampton was named the 16-4A Newcomer of the Year and the All-East Texas Baseball Newcomer of the Year. Hampton was selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 4A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Pitcher.
