High School Career
In his junior season at Waco La Vega, Sanders hit .490 with 8 Doubles, 3 Triples, 4 Home Runs, 23 RBIs, 24 Runs, 14 Stolen Bases, .625 OBP and a 1.132 SLG. He was named the 18-4A MVP. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 4A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Catcher.

As a sophomore at La Vega, Sanders hit.459 with 7 Doubles, 2 Triples, 1 Home Run, 11 RBIs, 9 Runs and a .837 SLG. He was named to the 18-4A All-District Team as a 1st Team Catcher.
