High School Career
In his junior season, Smith hit .364 with 15 Doubles, 5 Triples, 2 Home Runs, 38 RBIs, 36 Runs and 26 Stolen Bases. He was named to the 13-5A All-District Team as a 1st Team OF.
As a sophomore, Smith hit .363 with 17 Doubles, 6 Triples, 1 Home Run, 28 RBIs, 31 Runs and 11 Stolen Bases. He was 4th in doubles among all 5A players. He was named to the 13-5A All-District Team as an Honorable Mention OF.
