Three National Polls Name Argyle as #1 High School Baseball Team in the Nation

Max Preps, Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball named Argyle as their #1 high school baseball team in the nation.  The Eagles finished 40-1-1 as they captured the Texas 4A championship by beating Sweeney 6-3.  This is the second year in a row that Argyle has finished No. 1 team in the nation by Max Preps and Collegiate Baseball.

Two other national polls, Perfect Game and USA Today HS Sports, had Argyle as their #2 team nationally.  In all 5 polls, Argyle was the highest ranked Texas team.  Argyle’s only loss of the season was to 6A State Champion Southlake Carroll.

Colleyville Heritage was second highest ranked Texas team in all five rankings, reaching #4 in the Perfect Game and USA Today HS Sports polls.  Georgetown and Lake Travis were also ranked in all 5 national rankings.  6A State Champion Southlake Carroll was only ranked in 3 of the polls.  Cy Ranch was ranked in two of the polls even though they did not make the State Tournament.
