High School Baseball
As a junior in the shortened 2020 season, Loa was 1-1 with a 0.76 ERA and 34 Ks in 18.1 innings. At the plate, he had 2 Triples, 5 Runs and 6 RBIs. His 34 Ks placed him 8th strikeouts of all 6A pitchers.

In his sophomore season, Loa was 7-4 with a 0.94 ERA, 135 Ks in 74.1 innings and 2 No-Hitters. At the plate, he hit .272 with 5 Doubles, 5 Triples, 25 Runs, 20 RBIS and a .418 OBP. He was named the 32-6A MVP and the Brownsville Herald All-Metro Pitcher of the Year. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Pitcher.

As a freshman, Loa was 6-2 with a 2.64 ERA and 57 Ks in 37 innings. At the plate he hit .344 with 3 Doubles, 8 Runs and 6 RBIs. He named to the 32-6A All-District Team as an Honorable Mention Pitcher.
