As a freshman, Caldwell hit .347 with 7 Doubles, 2 Home Runs, 30 Runs, and 27 RBIs. On the mound, he was 4-2 with a 2.05 ERA and 35 Strikeouts. He was named to the 23-3A All-District Team as a 2nd Team Pitcher.
