Jacob Guzman is a 5’10” 185 RHP/OF for the 31-4A Alice Coyotes. He has committed to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
High School Baseball
As a junior in the shortened 2020 season, Guzman was 2-1 with 17 Ks in 14 innings. At the plate, he hit .231 with 3 Doubles, 8 Runs, 5 RBIs and a .411 OBP.
In his sophomore season, Guzman was 3-4 with a 3.59 ERA and 43 Ks in 48.2 innings. At the plate, he hit .253 with 4 Doubles, 1 Triple, 1 Home Run, 12 Runs and 10 RBIs. He was named to the 29-5A All-District Team as a 1st Team Pitcher. He was also named to the All-South Texas Baseball Team as an Honorable Mention Pitcher.
As a freshman, Guzman was 3-5 with a 3.84 ERA and 50 Ks in 49.2 innings. At the plate, he hit .250 with 6 Doubles and 19 Runs. He was named the 30-5A Co-Newcomer of the Year.
