Emmanuel Garza is a 5’11 195 C/RHP for the 30-5A Rio Grande City Rattlers.  He has committed to Rice University.

High School Baseball
Garza was out with an injury during his junior season and did not play.

In his sophomore season, Emmanuel hit .327 with 9 Doubles, 2 Triples, 2 Home Runs, 15 Runs, 30 RBIs, a .432 OBP and a .500 SLG. On the mound, he was 1-0 with a 2.33 ERA and 5 Ks in 6 innings. He was named to the 30-5A All-District Team as a 2nd Team Catcher.

As a freshman, Garza hit .465 with 9 Doubles, 1 Triple, 16 Runs, 29 RBIs and a .534 OBP. He was named the 31-5A Newcomer of the Year. Garza was also named as The Monitor’s All Area Co-Newcomer of the Year with his twin brother Eduardo. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 5A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Catcher.
