In his sophomore season, Collins hit 354 with10 Doubles, 3 Triples, 4 Home Runs, 42 Runs, 26 RBIs, 14 Stolen Bases and a .457 OBP. He finished in the Top 15 among all 6A players in Hits and Runs. He was named the 9-6A Offensive Player of the Year and selected to the Dallas Morning News All-Area 3rd Team and to the Star Local Media All-Area 1st Team. He was also named to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All State Team as a 3rd Team OF.

As a freshman, Collins hit .385 with 7 Doubles, 6 Triples, 2 Home Runs, 32 Runs, 16 RBIS, 12 Stolen Bases and .468 OBP. He was named the 9-6A Newcomer of the Year.
