As a junior in the 2020 shortened season, Willems hit .408 with 7 Doubles, 1 Triple, 2 Home Runs, 23 RBIs, a .483 OBP and a .714 SLG PCT.

In his sophomore season, Willems hit .384 with 7 Doubles, 3 Triples, 3 Home Runs, 28 RBIs, a .494 OBP and a .685 SLB PCT. He was named the 4-5A Defensive MVP. He was also selected to the All-Parker County Baseball 1st Team and to the Star Telegram All-Area Team as a 3rd Team Infielder.
