High School Baseball
As a junior in the shortened 2020 season, Bernal hit .489 with 7 Doubles, 1 Home Run, 19 Runs, 12 RBIs, a .576 OBP and a .711 SLG. On the mound, he was 3-0 with a 2.62 ERA and 20 Ks in 16 innings.

In his sophomore season, Bernal hit .411 with 8 Doubles, 2 Triples, 2 Home Runs, 20 Runs, 24 RBIs, a .548 OBP and a .600 SLG. On the mound, he was 4-1 with a 3.64 ERA and 24 Ks in 32.2 innings. He was named to the 30-6A All-District Team as a 1st Team Catcher.

As a freshman, Bernal hit .310 with 7 Doubles, 1 Home Run, 10 Runs, 30 RBIs, a .434 OBP and .425 SLG. On the mound, he was 3-0 with a 0.87 ERA and 12 K’s in 16 innings. He was named a 30-6A All-District Utility Player.
