Abanny Garcia is a 6’2” 210 lb 1B/RHP for the 6A McAllen Bulldogs. He has committed to UT-Rio Grande Valley.
In his junior season, Garcia was 8-0, with a 1.06 ERA and 96 Ks in 59.1 innings. At the plate, he hit .395 with 7 2Bs, 2 HRs, 26 RBIs and 19 Runs. He was named the 30-6A Pitcher MVP.
As a sophomore, Garcia was named the 30-6A Offensive MVP playing for McAllen Rowe.
As a freshman, Garcia was 6-1 with a 1.49 ERA and 44 Ks. At the plate, he hit .457 with a .530 OBP and .527 SLG%. He was named an Honorable Mention Outfielder and Pitcher on the 30-6A All-District Team. He was selected as the RGV Sports All-Valley Newcomer of the Year.
