As a sophomore, Mitchell was 5-6 with a 2.11 ERA and 89 Ks in 50 Innings. He was named a 1st Team Pitcher on the 23-6A All-District Team.

Mitchell had a 4-4 record as a Freshman. He was named a 2nd Team Pitcher on the 23-6A All-District Team.

Mitchell was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Perfect Game WWBA 2018 Grads National Championship this Fall with a 1-0 record and an 0.92 ERA.
