THSB Player Profile: Hunter Watson, Sr, SS, Pottsboro

Hunter Watson is a 6’4”, 210 lb Senior Shortstop for the 3A Pottsboro Cardinals. He is committed to Texas A&M University.

Watson hit .437 in his junior season at Pottsboro. He had 10 2Bs, 4 HRs, 36 RBIs and scored 25 Runs. He was named the 9-3A MVP. He was also chosen as a 1st Team Shortstop on the THSBCA 3A All-State Team and an Honorable Mention Shortstop on the TSWA 3A All-State Team.

Watson played on the Rangers Area Code Team this summer. He also played in the Tournament of Stars Games in June and the Perfect Game All-American Classic in August.

As a sophomore at 5A Denison, Watson hit .342 with 8 2Bs, 15 RBIs and 18 Runs. He was selected to 10-5A 1st Team All-District Team. He hit .406 with 10 2Bs, 2 HRs and 18 RBIs as a freshman and was named the 10-5A Newcomer of the Year.

Watson is the quarterback for the Pottsboro Cardinals football team.
