THSB Player Profile: Matt Rudis, Sr, RHP/3B, Madisonville

Matt Rudis is a 6’3”, 195 lb RHP/3B for the 4A Madisonville Mustangs. Rudis has committed to Texas Christian University.

In his junior season, Rudis was 7-2 with 90 Ks and a 1.03 ERA. He also hit .304 with 9 2Bs and 24 RBIs. Rudis was a 1st Team Pitcher on the 18-4A All-District Team. He was also a 3rd Team Pitcher on the THSBCA All-State Team and an Honorable Mention Pitcher on the TSWA All-State Team.

Rudis was selected to play on the Rangers Area Code Team this past summer. He also played in the Under Armour All-American Game in July.

Rudis was injured and did not play his sophomore year. In his freshman year, he was 6-3 with 56 RBIs and a 2.47 ERA. Offensively, Rudis hit .312 and had 5 2Bs and 12 RBIs. He was named the 18-4A Pitcher MVP.
