Max Marusak is a 6’0”, 180 lb Senior Shortstop/Outfielder for the Amarillo Sandies. He is committed to Texas Tech University.
Marusak hit .450 with 14 2Bs, 9 3Bs, 2 HRs, 34 RBIs, 57 Runs and 45 SBs. Marusak led all 5A players with 57 Runs and tied for 3rd with 9 triples. He was a 3-5A First Team Shortstop, a 1st Team Infielder on the Amarillo Globe Super Team and a 3rd Team Shortstop on the TSWA All-State Team.
Marusak was selected to play with the Rangers Area Code Team this summer.
In his sophomore season, Marusak hit .367 with 14 2Bs, 4 3Bs, 26 RBis, 50 Runs and 36 SBs. Marusak led all 5A players with 50 Runs and 36 SBs. He was a 1st Team 2B on the 2-6A All-District Team.
Marusak was a 1st Team All-District Safety on the Amarillo Football Team in 2016 but elected to play baseball only this year.
