THSB Player Profile: Ryan Vilade, SS/RHP, Frisco

Ryan Vilade is a Sr Infielder/RHP for the 5A Frisco Raccoons.  He is 6’2”, 195 lbs, and has committed to Oklahoma State.

In the 2016 season, Vilade hit .449 with 11 2Bs, 4 3Bs, and 6 HRs.  He scored 41 Runs. He was awarded the 9-5A Offensive Player of the Year.  He was named 1st Team All-State SS by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association and 3rd Team All-State SS by the Texas Sports Writers Association.

Vilade was chosen to play for the Texas Rangers Area Code Team.  In Game 2, he was 3-3 with an RBI, scoring 2 runs.

Vilade was selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Baseball Game and won the Eastbay Home Run Derby at Wrigley Field before that game.  He hit 18 HRs in the Derby including 9 in the final round.  Vilade was also selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.

He has played Summer Ball with the Dallas Tigers.
