THSB Player Profile: Ty Coleman, Sr, SS, Midland Lee

Ty Coleman is a 5’9”, 170 lb SS for the 6A Midland Lee Rebels. He has committed to Texas A&M University.

In his junior season, Coleman hit .410 with 12 2Bs, 3 HRs, 19 RBIs, and 31 Runs. He was a 1st Team Infielder on the 2-6A All-District Team. He was also selected as a 3rd Team SS on the THSBCA All-State Team and a 3rd Team SS on the TSWA All-State Team.

Coleman was selected to the Rangers Area Code Team last summer but a hamstring injury at the Connie Mack World Series prevented him from playing.

As a sophomore, Coleman hit .318 with 13 2Bs, 4 HRs, 27 RBIs, and 35 Runs. He was a 1st Team Infielder on the 3-6A All-District Team. He was selected to play on the Rangers Underclassmen Team that summer.

In his freshman season, Coleman hit .388 with 9 2Bs, 5 HRs, 21 RBIs and 24 RBIs. He was a 1st Team Infielder on the 3-6A All-District Team. Coleman was selected to play on the Rangers Underclassmen Team in 2015.
