William Rigney is a senior 6’5″, 205 lb INF/P for 6A Hewitt Midway.  Rigney is signed to play college ball for Baylor University.

In 2018, Rigney was named to the Under Armour 2nd team.  He was also named pitcher of the year out of 8-6A, and in August he was placed on the second-team all-state list by the TSWA.

As a junior, Rigney had 19 hits in 73 plate appearances for an average of .260.  He had 4 doubles, 1 triple, drove in 16 runs and scored another 15.  On the mound, he picked up 10 wins, struck out 117 batters and had an ERA of 0.56.

As a sophomore, Rigney had 17 hits and an average of .236, while driving in 8 runs and scoring 13.
