Nicholas Banks - Player of the Game
Senior pitcher, Nicholas Banks, threw a complete game 5 hitter and added a lead off homerun in the first inning to beat Wichita Falls Rider in the day’s first Semifinal match up. The Cougars of Tomball rode to victory on a four run third inning behind hits by Anthony Lucas and Dillon Menville, along with a base on balls by Joshua Covey and a Raider error. The Cougars mounted up 7 hits on the afternoon and displayed exceptional situation hitting in that 3rd inning rally. The Cougars could have added more if not for some web gems made by Rider defensive players, including a full extension snag made by center fielder, Dylan Hutcheson in the 5th that would have allowed another Tomball run. Tomball will play the winner of Corpus Christi Moody and Whitehouse Friday evening at 7:00pm.
