5A Game Grade Team of the Week (March 27)
CC Moody (2-0)- The Trojans showed up for the most anticipated matchup in 30-5A this season. Facing #6 CC King in a battle for the top spot in their zone before a big crowd. They took advantage early and went on to win 6-1 to stay unbeaten this season. They are the only undefeated team left in 5A. They were not done as they returned to the Diamond the next day and picked up a non district win vs SA Burbank 12-0.
Runner Up- Brenham (2-0) – Started off the week beating Tomball Memorial 12-1. On Friday knocked off then #11 Tomball in District 20 Play 5-3. The Cubs are now 4-0 in District tied with Magnolia for the lead.
Hon Mention-Forney (2-0) – Earned 2 shutout wins vs Royse City and scored a combined 28 runs. This extended the Jackrabbits streak to 5 straight shutouts.
