Max Marusak (Amarillo) has some juice. Just ripped one pull-side to left. Thought it might get out. Double.

Strong inning for 6-5 Texas righthander Braxton Ashcraft (Robinson). Struck out the side. 84 mph CH here. Sitting 88. Showing two breaking balls.

Bobby Witt (Colleyville Heritage), a 2019 SS, has flashed some tools out here. Just made a nice diving stop and has shown some serious speed on the base paths.

Nice piece of hitting by Texas 3B Jordan Groshans (Magnolia).

Bobby Witt (Colleyville Heritage) made a spectacular diving play up the middle that he nearly completed on a strong, but slightly low throw that had to be rushed to first. He also showed good game action plate discipline, drawing a walk and resisting the urge to chase on some tough off-speed pitches. (D1Baseball)

Max Marusak (Amarill0) went 2-2 for the Rangers squad, including a double and a walk. The box score still doesn’t tell the full story of his impact though. His double was a rocket that one hopped the deep left field wall at Blair Field, as he showed advanced bat speed and jump off his barrel. He then used his plus rocket speed to score from second on wild pitch after he had taken off looking to steal third. (D1Baseball)

Some of the most quality at-bats of the first two days of Area Codes have belonged to Korey Holland (Langham Creek). The athletic, speedy outfielder rocketed a triple into the right center field gap in his last at-bat on Monday, showing the type of all fields approach that stood out about him in batting practice..
