Epperson & Stanford Combine to Hold off Idalou in 2A Semifinal

Seven Troy hitters were able to reach base via a hit in their 9-4 semifinal win over Idalou.  Mungia & Stanford led the way with a combined 5 RBI’s on 3 hits.  Whitley & Harrimon were also responsible for driving in a run a piece.  After jumping out to an early lead, SP Epperson worked his way through 5.1 innings of work, giving up just four hits and 3 earned runs.  Stanford came in to close out the final 1.2 innings, giving up no hits and striking out 2.
