GameGrade 6A Team of the Week
Euless Trinity – The Trojans put together a big 3-0 week to earn the No. 1 seed in 3-6A and improve their season-long win streak to five games. They swept Richland to earn a co-district championship with L.D. Bell., then they defeated the Blue Raiders 13-1 on Saturday night in a seeding game, the second contest they played that day.
Runner Up
Mansfield – The Tigers fought their way into the state playoffs last week behind two tough victories in must-win games. They defeated Grand Prairie 6-5 on Friday and 5-3 on Saturday for the fourth-seed in 7-6A. Mansfield (14-12) is riding a five-game win streak into the bi-district round.
Honorable Mention
Hendrickson – The Hawks showed their resilience last week to clinch a playoff spot. After kicking off the week with a loss, Hendrickson found itself in a four-way tie for the fourth seed in 13-6A. The Hawks battled Vista Ridge and Cedar Ridge over the weekend, earning 3-2 and 6-3 (10 innings) victories to keep their season alive.
