In his junior season, Davenport was 7-3 with a 0.72 ERA, a .160 Batting Average Against and 75 Strikeouts in 68 innings. He was named a 1st Team Pitcher on the 5-6A All-District Team. He was selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association 6A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention Pitcher.

As a sophomore in the 2020 shortened season, Davenport was 1-1 with a 1.08 ERA and 16 Strikeouts in 13 innings.
