Reagan Wins Thriller 5-4! Meets Flower Mound in 5A Championship Game

Bryan Warhurst hit a one out rbi double in the bottom of the 6th to break a 4-4 tie versus Atascocita in Game 2 of the 5A State Semifinal to send Reagan to the 5A Championship Game.  Reagan will play Flower Mound at 11:30 am on Saturday for the 5A Title.

Troy Montemayor was the winning pitcher for  Reagan going 7 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, 1 earned run.  He shut down the Atascocita Eagles in the top of the 7th on a fly out and 2 ground outs.  Atascocita led for 4 1/2 innings until Reagan exploded for 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th to take their first lead of the game.  Atascocita tied the game in the top of the 6th, setting up Warhurst’s game winning double in the bottom of that inning.
