3A Game Grade 1st Half Team of the Year
The Maypearl Panthers are the Game Grade 1st Half Team of the Year. They are off to a scorching 10-1-1 start to go from unranked to #22 in the most recent THSB poll. The Panthers have already met their win total from last year when they went 10-11 for the season. Their season has been highlighted by a high-powered offense that has scored double digits 5 times already.
Runner Up 1st Half Team of the Year
The Malakoff Tigers are the Runner-up 1st Half Team of the Year. The Tigers are off to a 10-2-1 start as their offense and pitching are working together. They have risen from outside the top 20 in the preseason to #10 overall in 3A.
Honorable Mention 1st Half Team of the Year
The Brock Eagles have started the year 8-1-1 and currently sit atop the 3A Poll. Their early season is highlighted by a win over #6 Holliday while their only loss is to fellow top 20 team Grandview (#14).
The Breckenridge Buckaroos have certainly lived up to preseason expectations and are off to an 8-2 start while holding down the #2 3A ranking. They are showcasing a win over 4A #8 Benbrook and have only faltered to 4A or 5A teams.
The Boyd Yellow Jackets round out this all 7-3A Honorable Mention. Boyd has had an incredibly strong showing early on, going 11-2 including an impressive win over Bonham.
