Canaan Smith, Sr, C/1B/OF, Rockwall Heath

Canaan Smith is a 6’0” 210 lb Senior C/1B/OF for the Rockwall Heath Hawks. He has committed to the University Arkansas.

As a junior, Smith hit .434 with 9 2Bs, 7 HRs, and 45 RBIs. Among 5A players, Smith was 4th in HRs and tied for 5th in RBIs. He was named the 12-5A Offensive MVP.

Smith was selected to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Team as a 2nd Team Catcher. He was also selected to the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State Team as a 1st Team Catcher.

In his sophomore year, Smith hit .429 with 7 2Bs and 24 RBIs. He was named to the 12-5A All-District Team as the 1st Team Designated Hitter. He was named to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Team as a 2nd Team Catcher.

Smith played summer ball with the Dallas Tigers-Woods Team.
