Reid Taylor is a 6-2 210 RHP/3B for the 2A Woden Eagles. He has committed to the University of Texas.

High School Baseball

In his junior season, Taylor was 7-2 with an 0.42 ERA and 135 Ks in 66.2 innings. At the plate, he hit .362 with 7 2Bs, 4 3Bs, 1 HR, 32 RBIs, 31 Runs, a .475 OBP and a .553 SLG Pct. He was 4th among all 2A pitchers in strikeouts. Taylor was named the 23-2A Pitcher of the Year. He was named to the Texas Sports Writers Association 2A All-State Team as a 2nd Team Pitcher and to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 2A All-State Team as a 3rd Team Pitcher.

As a sophomore, Taylor was 8-4 with a 2.90 ERA and 73 Ks in 50.2 innings. At the plate, he hit .347 with 5 2Bs, 28 RBIs and 30 Runs. Taylor was named to the 23-2A All-District Team as a 1st Team Pitcher. He was named to the Texas Sports Writers Association 2A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention 3B.

As a freshman, he had 7 wins, a 2.57 ERA and 79 Ks in 49 innings. At the plate, he hit .261 with 6 2Bs, 1 3B, 18 RBIs and 17 Runs. He was named the 23-2A Newcomer of the Year.
