Matthew Luna is a 6’4” 220 LHP for the San Antonio East Central Hornets. He has committed to Texas Tech University.
High School Baseball
In his junior season, Luna was 10-2 with a 1.58 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP and 131 Ks in 79.2 innings. He was 5th in strikeouts among all 6A pitchers. Luna was named the 26-6A MVP. He was also named a 1st Team Pitcher on the Express News All-Area Team. He was selected to the THSBCA 6A All-State Team as a 1st Team Pitcher and to the TSWA All-State Team as a 3rd Team Pitcher.
As a sophomore, he was 4-3 with a 1.25 ERA and 85 K’s in 61.1 innings. He was named to the 27-6A All-District Team as a 2nd Team Pitcher.
