THSB All-Decade Team: Kyle Muller, LHP/OF, Dallas Jesuit, 2016

Kyle Muller was a LHP/OF for the Dallas Jesuit Rangers 2014-2016. In his senior season, Muller hit .393 with 8 Doubles, 5 Triples, 15 Home Runs, 52 RBIs, 42 Runs, 18 Stolen Bases and an .828 Slugging Percentage. On the mound, he was 9-0 with a 0.42 ERA and 142 Ks in 83 innings. He set a national record in 2016 by striking out 24 consecutive batters over 2 games. He was named the 9-6A MVP and the 6A Player of the Year. He was also named the National Gatorade Player of the Year.

In his junior season, Muller hit .383 with 14 Doubles, 7 Home Runs, 27 Runs, 33 RBIsand a .687 Slugging Percentage. On the mound, he was 8-1 with an 0.99 ERA and 106 Ks in 63.2 innings. He was named the 9-6A MVP and a 6A 2nd Team All-State Pitcher.

Muller signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of Texas. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 2nd round of the 2016 MLB Draft. On June 14, 2016, he signed with the Braves, receiving a $2.5 signing bonus.

Muller has played in the Braves organization the last 4 years. He spent 2019 with the AA Mississippi Braves and was a Southern League Mid-Season All-Star before a calf strain ended his season prematurely. In 4 years, Muller has a career Minor League record of 20-10 in 67 starts with a 3.03 ERA and a 336 Ks in 326.2 innings.
