THSB Player Profile: Braxton Ashcraft, Sr, RHP/3B, Robinson

Braxton Ashcraft is a 6’5,195 lb RHP/3B for the 4A Robinson Rockets. He is committed to play for the University of Baylor.

Ashcraft was 9-1 with 100 Ks and a 2.11 ERA. He also hit .362 with 8 HRs, 37 RBIs and 35 Runs. He was named the District 17-4A MVP. He was selected to the TSWA 4A All-State 2nd Team as a 3B and to the TSWA 4A All-State Honorable Mention Team as a Pitcher.

Ashcraft played for the Rangers Area Code Team this past summer and was on the Rangers Area Code Underclassmen Team in 2016. He also was selected to play in the Under Armour All-America Game in July.

In his sophomore year, Ashcraft was 6-0 with 37 Ks and a 1.70 ERA. He also had a .419 average with 3 HRs, 33 RBIs and 32 Runs. He named the 1st Team Shortstop on the 17-4A All-District Team and was a TSWA 4A 2nd Team All-State Infielder.

Ashcraft was also a 4A All-State Wide Receiver in Football in 2016.
