Cole Turney is a Sr OF for the 6A Ft. Bend Travis Tigers. He is 6’1”, 190, and is committed to the University of Arkansas.
Cole was the 2016 23-6A MVP after hitting 6 HRs, 27 RBIs with a .353 Batting Average and a .500 OBP. He was named a 3rd Team All-State Outfielder by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association and a 3rd Team All-State Outfielder by the Texas Sports Writers’ Association. Cole was also named as a 1st Team Outfielder on the Texas Prep Baseball All-Houston 6A Team.
Cole was very busy this summer playing in some of the elite National Showcases. He was selected to play on the Texas Rangers Area Code Team, the Perfect Game All-American Classic, the USA Baseball Tournament of Stars, and the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game. At the Perfect Game All-American Classic, televised on the MLB channel, Cole was 1-2 with a single, 2 walks, a stolen base, scoring 2 runs.
Cole has played summer ball with the South Texas Sliders.
