Jose Gutierrez is a 6’2”, 225 lb Senior 1B for the 6A Arlington Lamar Vikings. He is committed to Dallas Baptist University. He just turned 17 in September.
Gutierrez hit .302 last season with 13 2Bs, 18 Runs and 15 RBIs. He was named a 2nd Team 1st Baseman on the 4-6A All-District Team.
Gutierrez played on the Rangers Area Code Team this past summer and also played in the Future Star Games in Houston in August.
As a sophomore, Gutierrez batted .444 with 10 2Bs, 18 RBIs and 13 Runs. He was a 4-6A 1st Team All-District 1B. He batted .293 and was named 4-6A Freshman MVP in 2015
