THSB Player Profile: Mason Cooper, Sr, CF/RHP, Robison

Mason Cooper is a 6’2’, 205 lb CF/RHP for the 4A Robinson Rockets. He has committed to Texas State University.

In his junior season, Cooper hit .455 with 15 2Bs, 4 3Bs, 1 HR, 37 RBIs, 51 Runs and 16 SBS. He was 2nd in the state among all 4A players with 51 Runs and tied for 7th with 15 2Bs. On the mound, he was 2-0 with 26 Ks and a 0.43 ERA. He was selected as the 17-4A Offensive MVP. Cooper was named to the THSBCA 4A All-State Team as a 3rd SS and to the TSWA 4A All-State Team as a Honorable Mention SS. He was also selected to the UIL Class 4A All-State Baseball Tournament Team.

As a sophomore, Cooper hit .400 with 10 2Bs, 28 RBIs, 51 Runs and 14 SBs. His 51 Runs was tops among all 4A players. He was named a 1st Team Outfielder on the 17-4A All-District Team. He was also selected to the TSWA 4A All-State Team as an Honorable Mention OF.

As a freshman, Cooper hits .294 with 4 2Bs, 12 RBIs and 18 Runs. He was named a 2nd Team Outfielder on the 18-4A All-District Team.

Cooper played at the USA Baseball Tournament of Stars this past summer.
