5A Game Grade 1^st Half Team of the Year

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial – The Eagles have run through the first half of the regular season with a perfect 15-0-1 mark.  The lone tie on the schedule came to 6A #2 San Antonio Reagan.  Veterans Memorial began the season at #2 in the THSB rankings, but now sits at number one.

Runner-Up

Cleburne – The Yellow Jackets have been the most impressive team out of region II, sitting with a 12-0-2 record after three weeks of play.  Cleburne was our regional favorite entering the season and has solidified their position.

Honorable Mention

Corpus Christi Calallen – Calallen has been a mainstay among baseball powers for some time, and this year appears to be no different.  The Wildcats have made the largest jump in the rankings of any preseason top 40 team.

Denton Braswell – Braswell is a young program – still under five years old – but finds themselves in a strong position heading into district play.  To date, the Bengals have yet to lose a game (10-0-3) and have solid wins to back up their top 25 ranking.
