Flatonia v Bosqueville
Two more great teams here. Flatonia is here for the 3rd time in a row so they are no stranger to the stage. Bosqueville is no stranger to successful baseball. Flatonia had a upper classmen dominated lineup with Bsoqueville starting both a freshman and a sophomore.
Flatonia would dominate the first inning on 5 hits and score 5 runs. Four of them were scored prior to Bosqueville recording an out. The First would end with a 5-0 Flatonia lead. Not to be outdone, Bosqueville would shut down Flatonia in the top of 2 and then answer with 3 runs in bottom 2. On a 5 pitch inning by Zach Mazza in top 3, Bosqueville would come back out in their half of the 3rd and get 1 run closer to making it a new ballgame.
Flatonia wasn’t finished scoring. In Top 4, with 2 outs, Casen Novak drives one to right field and Nick Flores scores from second on a close play at the plate. As we went to the bottom of the 4th, it was 6-4 Flatonia. 3 quick outs in the bottom of the 4th and Flatonia would bat again.
In the Top of 5, Flatonia took advantage of an E6, a HBP and 2 singles to add 3 runs and end Zack Mazza’s day on the mound. Kolby Clark would come in to pitch. Kolby gives up a single to allow 1 to score but record 2 strikeouts. At the midpoint of 5 its 10-4 Flatonia.
Bosqueville went quietly in the 6th and 7th.
