GAME GRADE TEAMS OF THE WEEK March 28

TOP GAME GRADE TEAM

DIBOLL-The Lumberjacks are now 17-1 (0-0) and went 2-0 for the week with a 13-1 win over Center (4A) and a 5-2 win over Lufkin Hudson (4A)

RUNNER UP

BISHOP-The Badgers are now 11-5 (5-0) and went 2-0 for the week with a 9-2 district win over #12 Banquete and a 15-5 district win over San Diego

HONORABLE MENTION

EMORY RAINS-The Wildcats are now 12-3 (4-0) and went 3-0 for the week with a 5-4 win over Farmersville (4A) and 14-1, 10-2 district wins over Paris Chism

BLANCO-The Panthers are now 13-0-1 and went 2-0 for the week with a 11-3 win over Hondo (4A) and a 10-0 win over Pieper Ranch (4A)

WALL-The Hawks are now 12-6 (4-1) and went 2-0 for the week with a 3-2 district win over #31 Clyde and a 9-2 district win over #35 Ballinger

4A Game Grade Team of the Week
Sinton – The Pirates continue to rack of impressive wins after shutting out Calhoun and Robstown, while also picking up a 10-4 win over private school #2 Cornerstone Christian.

Runner Up
Midlothian Heritage – Heritage went 2-0 in district play while also knocking off #6 China Spring.

Argyle – The Eagles had a pair of nice wins over 6A McKinney and #12 Denton Guyer.

Honorable Mention
Livingston – Livingston is at the top of the 21-4A standings after topping top 25 Huffman Hargrave.

Canyon Lake – The Hawks notched a very impressive win over private school #5 Nolan Catholic, 4-3.

5A Game Grade Team of the Week
Lufkin – The Panthers picked up critical 16-5A wins over Whitehouse and Nacogdoches this past week.  Lufkin is now a perfect 5-0 in district play.

Runner Up
Cedar Park – The Timberwolves had a solid week, knocking off top 25 Liberty Hill to remain near the top of a very deep 25-5A.

Honorable Mention
Leander – Leander knocked off #6 Georgetown to create a 3-way tie for 2nd place in 25-5A.  

Red Oak – Mt. Pleasant is now 3-0 in 15-5A after defeating Longview.  

Pflugerville Hendrickson – Hendrickson finished off a strong week by topping Austin McCallum.

New Caney – The Panthers picked up two critical wins over Montgomery.

GameGrade 6A Team of the Week
San Antonio Churchill Chargers – started the week with a win over 28-6A foe and Top 10 San Antonio Reagan, followed with a perfect game thrown in win against San Antonio Roosevelt and finished with an exciting walk off win in extra innings on Saturday vs San Angelo Central, giving Coach Schlueter his 200th career win.

Runner Up GameGrade 6A Team of the Week
Keller Indians – Defeated top ranked Southlake Carroll in two games last week, taking over first place in 4-6A

Honorable Mention GameGrade 6A Team of the Week
Lake Travis Cavaliers – Lake Travis won their 3rd and 4th game in a row by shutout this past week. They have not given up a run in their last 22 innings.

1A Game Grade Team of the Week

D’Hanis:  The Cowboys improved to 13-2 on the week after a 6-2 District win over Knippa and a non-district win over SA Feast (11-4)

Runner Up:

Booker:  The Kiowas improved to 4-1 on the season after a District win over Boys Ranch.  The win was Coach Lile’s 200th win as a head coach.

Honorable Mention: 

Ira:  With a district win over Roby, Ira moved to 8-0 on the season.

GameGrade 2A Team of the Week (Mar 28)

2A Game Grade Team of the Week

Tolar: The Rattlers went 3-0 on the week defeating Lipan twice in District play and a win of Private School Trinity Valley. In addition, the Rattlers raised over $400 in support of the Lipan Volunteer Fire Department.

Runner Up:

Granger went 2-0 on the week winning 2 district games despite a week of distractions in the community as a tornado went through the community and damaged many homes include some of the players homes. The team also volunteered throughout the community to help with clean up efforts.

Honorable Mention:

Maud: The Cardinals went 2-0 on the week. They defeated then #16 McLeod (3-2) and James Bowie (13-5). The Cardinals improved to 4-0 in District and 9-3 overall.

Alvord:  The Bulldogs went 1-1 on the week after splitting with #7 Muenster setting the stage for a battle for 1st place in District 10.

Prestonwood Christian Academy Lions –
 The Lions swept #3 Plano JPII,  winning 17-2 and 11-5.  PCA has won 5 games in a row and are 4-0 in district play.  The Lions are now the #3 team in the Large School Poll.

Runner Up
St. John XXIII Lions – The #16 Lions swept St. Pius X, winning 3-0 and 3-2.  They are now 17-2 on the season.

Honorable Mention
Liberty Christian Warriors – The Warriors swept Liberty Christian, winning via run rule 12-1 and then won 5-4 in 10 innings on a walk-off HBP.
FW Country Day Falcons – Pitchers for the #15 Falcons went 3-0, with 20K, 1 ER, and a .097 BAA.
