5A Semifinal: Georgetown 8 Aledo 2

 admin  |    Jun 12th, 2015

Aledo’s magical run of 24 months came to and end tonight.  The team that always seemed to find a way, couldn’t find an answer for the Georgetown bats in a 8-2 loss in the second semifinal of the night.

Georgetown scored early and often, putting up a single run in the 1st, another in the 2nd, 2 more in the 4th, and a 3 spot in the 5th.  That proved just too much for the Bearcats who struggled to create scoring chances. Quite the opposite for the Eagles as they demonstrated power at the plate by racking up 10 hits, including a triple from TJ Raguse in the 1st.

The standout of the night was Georgetown’s Blake Anderson.  Blake threw a complete game and went 2-3 at the plate, making him our Player of the Game

Georgetown will move on to face #3 Prosper tomorrow night @ Dell Diamond at 7pm
