Argyle advances to their 2nd straight state championship and will try to make it back to back titles tomorrow night against Sweeny.

La Vernia outhit Argyle through 3 ½ innings but stranded 6 through the top of the 4th inning. Not being able to get the big hit would cost them in the bottom of the 4th as Argyle would capitalize on a one out error and go on to score 13 unearned runs in the inning. The result was a 16-0 (5 inning) victory.
Chad Ricker got the win on the mound as he would scatter 4 hits and 3 BB’s over 5 innings to get the victory. Offensively, lots of Eagles had a big game. Preston King 2-2, 3B, 3 R, 2 RBI; Dillon Carter 2-3, 2 R, 2 RBI; Hayden Clearman 1-2, 3 RBI, R.
The MVP of the game would be Ricker. He gets the win on the mound and goes 3-3 at the plate with a 2B, 3 RBI, R. Argyle wins their 39th game of the season and returns to the state title game.
