Katy – The Katy Tigers went 2-0 on the week and picked up a key District 19-6A victory over then-No. 2 Tompkins to take sole possession of first place in the district standings at 7-0.

Honorable Mention
Harlingen – The Cardinals went 2-0 on the week and battled for a 4-3, 11-inning win on Thursday to close the first round of their District 32-6A season undefeated (7-0).
