 admin  |    Mar 26th, 2016

Amarillo High’s Head Baseball Coach Jeff Timmons picked up his 500th career win as a head baseball coach Friday, March 25, as Amarillo defeated Lubbock Cooper 14-7.

Coach Timmons is in his 27th year as a Head Baseball Coach, 31 total years of coaching. He has coached at Bryan Adams, Brownwood, Kingsville, Lampasas, Wills Point and Amarillo High. He has been at Amarillo High since the 2011 baseball season. Coach Timmons took Brownwood to the Regional Finals, took Wills Point to the Regional Quarterfinals three times and Amarillo High to the Regional Quarterfinals once.

Upon reaching this milestone, Coach Timmons reflected, “Coaching is a very rewarding profession. I am very fortunate to be able to work with young men on the field every day. Each player is special and I can honestly say I remember them and how they impacted my life more than the wins and losses.”

All of the staff at THSB have been influenced and inspired by coaches and are appreciative of their hours of work, their dedication to shape young men and their love for the game of baseball. We congratulate Coach Jeff Timmons on this noteworthy milestone.
