Big Inning Gives South 9-1 Victory in 5A/6A All-Star Game

South All-Star pitchers limited North All-Stars to 6 hit and 1 run and Jonathan Sylvester and Tyriece Silas had 2 RBIs each helping South to a 9-1 win.

A&M Consolidated’s Jonathon Sylvester was named the MVP of the All-Star game going 2-2 with a double, stolen base, 2 RBIs, 2 Runs. He also threw out a runner at home in the 5th.

The game was close until the 6th inning when the South All-Stars scored 6 runs to take an 8-1 lead. Leo Perez hit a solo HR in the 8th to close out the scoring.
