Brook Hill Guard Wins TAPPS Div II State Semifinal Game, 7-4 over Ft. Worth Christian

The Brook Hill Guard scored 4 runs in the fourth and never looked back as they defeated the Ft. Worth Christian Cardinals 7-4 in the second TAPPS Division II Semifinal Game. Brook Hill will meet Houston Second Baptist in the Championship Game tomorrow at 12:00 PM.

The game started out in a back and forth fashion. Brook Hill scored first in the bottom of the 1st on a Grayson Murry RBI single. Ft. Worth Christian tied the score in the top of the 3rd on a bases loaded walk. Brook Hill regained the lead in the bottom of the 3rd scoring two runs on an error and a passed ball.

Down 3-1, Ft. Worth Christian scored 3 runs in the top of the 4th on a bases loaded triple by Evan Giles to give them their first lead of the ballgame, 4-3. But Brook Hill had a rally of their own. A bases loaded hit by pitch, a Cade Chesley 2 RBI single and another RBI single by Murry gave the Guard their biggest lead of the game at 7-4.

From there Dorian Reyes took things in his own hand, holding the Cardinals scoreless in the last 3 innings.

Cade Chesley was the named the THSB Player of the Game. He got on base each at-bat, going 3-3 with 2 RBIs, a run scored, a walk and a stolen base.
