“I was just up there doing my job for my team and my teammates and things just fell my way,” Williams explained. “I got a fastball high in my first at-bat and when he threw me a second one, I just cranked it. I was glad to be able to help out and I’m honored to be in the State Championship game.”
“Hudson has really come into form this last part of the year,” commented Head Coach Will Pickett. “Nothing that he did today shocked me. He’s a born leader and I hope our younger guys see how he has worked and lifted weights and has gotten stronger and stronger. We are happy to be in the State Championship but in TAPPS the North teams don’t usually see or play the South teams so we are not sure what we are getting tomorrow. We will just see what we can learn and bring our best tomorrow.”
