Senior Luke Harrison threw a 1-hit shutout and Deundre Jones hit a two-out RBI double to give Lutheran South a 1-0 win over The Woodlands Christian Academy and a berth in the TAPPS Division 2 Championship Game versus Southwest Christian.

Harrison only allowed three baserunners in the game – a single to Caedmon Parker in the first inning, a walk in the 4th and a walk in the 7th. He finished the game with 13 Ks.  For Harrison, this outing was meaningful.  “I’ve been putting this uniform on for a long time,” stated Harrison.  “It means a lot on my last outing to have a great day and most importantly get a win that gets us to the championship game.”  For his outstanding performance, Harrison was named the THSB Player of the Game.

Lutheran South had baserunners to second base three innings in a row but TWCA pitcher Payton Moser and the TWCA Warriors found ways to get out of a jam. Until the fifth inning. With one out, Easton Brenner singled and then stole 2nd Base. With two outs, Deundre Jones hit a 1-2 pitch into the right centerfield gap scoring Brenner for the only run of the game.
