Keller’s Head Coach Rob Stramp Lands 500th Coaching Win

 admin  |    May 19th, 2016

Keller’s 2-1, 7-0 Area Round sweep of Colleyville Heritage was impressive last weekend but the wins were also significant as they were wins #500 and #501 for Keller Head Coach Rob Stramp.  Coach Stramp has been the Head Baseball Coach at Keller since 1998 and they currently have a 15-year consecutive playoff appearance streak going.   Keller made it to the Regional Finals in 2004 and 2015.  They face Hebron this week in a Best of 3 Regional Quarterfinal Matchup.

Coach Stramp had previous coaching stints at Irving Nimitz (’90-’94), Texarkana Pleasant Grove (’95) and Carrollton R.L. Turner (’96-’97).   He is a graduate of Irving MacArthur High School and played college ball at Southwestern University, Yavapai Junior College (Arizona) and University of Texas.  He was a member of the Texas Longhorns National Championship Team in 1975.

Coach Stramp commented “Coaching to me is all about the teams we’ve had and what they were able to accomplish as a group by playing hard and playing together.”

THSB congratulates Coach Rob Stramp on reaching this impressive milestone in his coaching career.
