Keller’s Head Coach Rob Stramp Lands 500th Coaching Win
admin | May 19th, 2016Keller’s 2-1, 7-0 Area Round sweep of Colleyville Heritage was impressive last weekend but the wins were also significant as they were wins #500 and #501 for Keller Head Coach Rob Stramp. Coach Stramp has been the Head Baseball Coach at Keller since 1998 and they currently have a 15-year consecutive playoff appearance streak going. Keller made it to the Regional Finals in 2004 and 2015. They face Hebron this week in a Best of 3 Regional Quarterfinal Matchup.
Coach Stramp had previous coaching stints at Irving Nimitz (’90-’94), Texarkana Pleasant Grove (’95) and Carrollton R.L. Turner (’96-’97). He is a graduate of Irving MacArthur High School and played college ball at Southwestern University, Yavapai Junior College (Arizona) and University of Texas. He was a member of the Texas Longhorns National Championship Team in 1975.
