Kiefer Schellhase Receives “Pro-Line Player of the Year” Award
admin | Jun 15th, 2014Shallowater’s Kiefer Schellhase was named the “Pro-Line Player of the Year” by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Saturday at the THSBCA All-Star Games. Kiefer was a OF/RHP for the Shallowater Mustangs this year. This award recognizes the top player in Texas High School Baseball for their achievements on and off the field.
Kiefer’s achievements this year include:
- Earned All State honors by the THSBCA in 2013
- Selected to the 2014 THSBCA All Star Team
- Has a Grade Point average of 105 and ranked #3 in a class of 98
- Earned a Presidential Academic Award and a Presdential Scholarship Award and was named to America’s Who’s Who.
- Named to the THSBCA Academic All State 1st Team
- Named D-Bat Hitter of the Week 3 times and Diamond Pro Pitcher of the Week 3 times in 2014
- Had a career Batting Average of .416 and Fielding Percentage of .891. His career pitching included a no-hitter, a W-L record of 33-6, an E.R.A. of 1.11 and threw 20 Shut Outs.
Kiefer plans to attend Texas A&M University this fall.
