San Antonio Johnson Sweeps East Central in Back-to-Back Shutouts
admin | May 14th, 2016San Antonio Johnson shut out the East Central Hornets in a 3-0 Game Two win, giving them the series win and consecutive shutouts. Johnson won Game One 10-0.
Bryce Faust was the winning pitcher for Game Two. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up only 3 hits with 4 Ks and 3 BBs. Ryan Day came in to relieve in the 7th with one out. He got the final two outs to pick up the save.
Johnson picked up 2 runs in the top of the 1st. Richard Gilbert, who pitched a shut out in Game 1, hit a 2 RBI single, scoring Hunter Trinidad and Derek Martinez. In the 6th inning, Johnson scored a 3rd run when pinch runner Dillon Snethkamp scored on a errant throw to 3rd Base.
Johnson will play the winner of the San Antonio MacArthur/Corpus Christi Carroll match up.
